Course Description

Chemistry is a branch of basic science that deals with understanding matter in the form of atoms, ions and molecules, composed of one or more elements. It is a study of the composition, structure, properties and behavior of matter and its interactions with other substances to form new compounds.

Course Learning Outcomes

After completing M.Sc. in Chemistry, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate and apply the fundamental knowledge of the basic principles in various fields of Chemistry
  • Acquire deep knowledge in the study of physical, chemical, electrochemical and magnetic properties, structure elucidation using various techniques and applications of various organic and inorganic materials
  • Cultivate awareness towards the environment and apply knowledge to solve existing issues related to environmental pollution and prevent any future concerns
  • Conduct various quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Demonstrate the experimental techniques pertaining to the subject and express their findings in verbal, written and electronic formats
