The wellbeing and safety of students are of paramount importance at Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth. The college strives to make students feel empowered, secure and appreciated. 

The college has set up several committees for student welfare, that work together towards maintaining a safe college environment and providing a forum for students to share feedback. They also help create awareness about relevant issues among students. 

1. Anti-Ragging Monitoring Cell

Ragging is a crime. It refers to the display of noisy, disorderly conduct, or engaging in any act that causes or is likely to cause physical/psychological harm or raise apprehension/fear/shame/embarrassment to a student. Such activities, whether carried out against juniors/seniors/peers, is a serious offence.

At Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth, ragging is strictly prohibited. The required legal and criminal action shall be enforced against any student deemed to be engaging in such activities. Students are therefore requested to refrain from indulging in any kind of ragging. 

Objectives of Anti-Ragging Monitoring Cell

To supervise and advise on matters related to building and preserving a ragging-free culture within the college.
To routinely monitor the college campus areas including the canteens, classrooms etc. for any incidents of ragging.
To educate the students about ill-effects of ragging and spread awareness on the existing anti-ragging provisions.
To design strategies and action plans for curbing ragging in the college by adopting an array of activities.

2. Grievance Redressal Cell

The College has a Grievance Redressal Cell that addresses the feedback and complaints lodged by students. The committee is also empowered to look into matters of harassment. Persons with a genuine grievance may approach the members of the Grievance Redressal Cell in person. In case the person is unwilling to appear in self, grievances may be sent in writing.

Objectives of Grievance Redressal Cell

To formulate the policy to investigate and review complaints of students and faculty members.
To ensure an effective solution to the grievances raised with an impartial and fair approach.
To encourage students to express their grievances/feedback freely and frankly, without any fear of being victimised.
To advise students to respect the right and dignity of each other and to show utmost restraint and patience whenever any occasion of rift arises.
To assure that all grievances are properly solved within the stipulated time period defined.

3. Women Development Cell

The Women Development Cell (WDC) has been constituted to develop a congenial environment and to promote the inclusive growth of women in the various activities of the college. It also provides a forum for discussion and deliberation on a range of issues from empowerment to environment.

Objectives of the Women Development Cell

To empower women through knowledge sharing, training and aptitude building exercises and programmes.
To improve women’s sense of self-worth, making women aware of their right to have and to determine choices, their right to have access to opportunities and resources, their right to have the power to control their own lives, both within and outside the home and their ability to influence the direction of social change to create a more just social and economic order, nationally and internationally.

4. Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe & Equal Opportunity Cell

The SC/ST & EO cell constituted at Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth addresses the concerns of SC/ST students and offers adequate support where necessary.

Objectives of the SC/ST & EO Cell

To ensure there is no caste-based discrimination in Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth and ensure equal opportunities in all spheres.
To monitor the implementation of the policies for SCs/STs and other reserve categories in the college.
To address grievances received from SCs, STs and other reserved categories regarding their admission, recruitment, promotion and other similar matters in the college.

5. POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment)/Sexual Harassment Complaint Committee

Basis guidelines received from the Supreme Court of India and the University Grants Commission (UGC), Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth has constituted a Committee against Sexual Harassment to develop guidelines to combat sexual harassment and violence against women.

Objectives of the POSH/Sexual Harassment Complaint Committee are

To provide protection against sexual harassment of women of the campus community and for prevention and redressal of complaints of sexual harassment.
To provide a neutral, confidential and supportive environment for women who may have been sexually harassed.
To sensitise students on gender equity and to prevent sexual harassment in any form.
To provide information regarding counselling and support services on the campus.
