As part of the holistic curriculum at Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth, an immersive industrial visit was organised to Vapi Green Enviro Limited, a waste and effluent management company.
Over 180 MSc and final-year BSc students participated in this one-day visit with the aim of getting acquainted with the systems and processes used by large-scale industries. Students also got hands-on experience of modern equipments, which they had learned about in their classes.
During the visit, students were introduced to the Common Effluent Treatment Plant, where they observed the process of liquid waste management. They spent time at the company’s Centre of Excellence, where they learned about sophisticated instruments such as spectrophotometers, and gas and liquid chromatographs.
Students also interacted with the Director of the Centre of Excellence, Dr. Maruti Rao, through an informative and interactive session.
The students thoroughly enjoyed their day, which culminated in a richer understanding of the working of industries. The personnel of the company also warmly offered to assist the students in their dissertation and sample projects!
