The college approaches this vision and mission on the foundation of a few guiding principles. These principles lie at the heart of every action it takes.
Every child must get an equal opportunity to join the mainstream society. With this philosophy, student development is at the centre of all our actions especially considering the rural youth who have been deprived of such opportunities. Our focus is on extending ourselves to them beyond the call of our duty, guide them at every stage in their development , support them for all their academic, socio-emotional needs, equip them with learning opportunities and enable them to uncover their hidden potential.
We believe the youth of tomorrow need to be equipped not only with a sharp intellect but also a soft heart. As much as they are required to learn from their syllabus, they need to learn about themselves and shape their student life. We offer students a 360-degree platform for holistic learning to develop their intellectual, emotional and skill quotient. Theoretical understanding of knowledge is coupled with important means required for all round development. We adopt multiple means to achieve this objective and look for newer avenues such as seminars, workshops, sessions by external experts, industrial visits, internships, value-based learning via interactive sessions and life skills training programs. There is an unequivocal focus on academic development through emphasis on conceptual learning, personalized monitoring and attention.
We believe that values are the basis on which true success can be achieved. Like a compass, values help individuals steer their life in a positive direction and become assets for their families, communities, and the country. The college exhibits adherence to a high standard of integrity, transparency and discipline and makes effort to imbibe these values within students. Susceptible to the negative influences around, motivational and reflective sessions are regularly held to steer them away from such influences and inculcate a strong moral conscious among students.
The college is built on pillars of continuous learning. A deep sense of passion and a strong commitment to realize its vision has been the driving force to constantly improve and search for ways to provide an even better learning environment. Additionally, both staff and students are provided with or encouraged to continually seek opportunities to broaden their horizons, enhance their knowledge and skill and look for innovative solutions. Care is taken to cultivate a growth mindset among all stakeholders to fuel a journey of continuous improvement.
The genesis of the institute traces to a culture of service as envisioned under the Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care program, the social initiative of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur. The leadership and management is strongly rooted in a culture of selfless service or ‘seva’ and this culture percolates to the staff who are also addressed as ‘sevarpits’ to signify the high commitment and service orientation of the leadership and staff for a common purpose. Students are also encouraged to actively volunteer with local community service projects locally.
