A proud moment for Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth as Dr. Jay B. Pandya, an Assistant Professor of Botany, recently achieved a significant milestone by obtaining both an International and a National patent for his ingenious inventions.
The International patent, granted by the Intellectual Property Office in the UK, is for Dr. Pandya’s invention called “Vasculum”. This modified design patent is expected to greatly benefit researchers by allowing them to collect and bring back botanical samples with minimal sample loss. In addition, Dr. Pandya has also obtained a National patent from The Patent Office, Government of India, for his invention called “A Compressible Mortar and Pestle”. This innovative design allows for convenient on-field biological sample preparation via its crushing mechanism, thanks to its compressible and lightweight nature.
Dr. Pandya’s remarkable accomplishment is a source of pride for Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth.
